AVG Releases Far-Reaching Protection with Internet Security 8.0

Major upgrade protects home and SMB computer users against a broad spectrum of security threats including web exploits, malware, rootkits, system intrusion, and spam.

With AVG 8.0, AVG raises the bar further by providing improved protection against traditional threats such as viruses, spam, spyware and trojans as well as new protection against emerging threats including web exploits, drive-by downloads, phishing, and rootkits.

Grisoft Acquires Exploit Prevention Labs, Developer of LinkScanner Safe Surfing Technology
Grisoft today announced the acquisition of Exploit Prevention Labs, a pioneering developer of safe surfing technology that protects Internet users against malicious web sites and drive-by downloaded exploits. The deal is expected to be finalized by December 31st 2007.
