My License Number does not work (is invalid / expired).  What should I do?

 

Please first check:

  • Whether you have downloaded and installed the correct edition of AVG software that you purchased.
     
  • If you have the correct date/year settings on your computer - right-click on the clock on the task bar (in the right bottom corner of the screen) and choose the "Adjust Date/Time" option.
     
  • It is possible that the license number was not entered correctly. Please ensure that it is exactly correct.  We recommend you to use the Copy & Paste method to insert your AVG license number correctly, as this will avoid mistakes:

HOW TO COPY AND PASTE

  • Highlight the license number (this will change the color).
  • Press and hold CTRL and then press the "C" key (this is the copy function).
  • Place your cursor where you would like to paste the copied information.
  • Press and hold CTRL and then press the "V" key (this is the paste function).
  • The information will be copied from the previous place to the place you have moved your cursor to.
