To upgrade your 7.5 commercial edition to the corresponding AVG 8.0 edition for free, please follow these steps.

If an AVG product is already installed on your hard disk, please choose one of the options below:

A.  If you are using AVG Trial Edition, you do not need to uninstall it first. You can just download AVG 8.0, SAVE the installation file to your hard disk, and run the installation. The AVG Trial Edition will be uninstalled automatically from your computer.

B. If you just bought a renewal of your current AVG or additional users to your current AVG, please activate your AVG installation with the License Number that you received in your order notification email and do the following: launch AVG Software from Programs click on "License" component click on "(Re-)Activate" “copy & paste” your AVG License Number into the Activation window and press Activate.

C. If you just bought an AVG 8.0 upgrade or renewal and AVG 7.5 is installed on your computer, you will need to install new AVG 8.0. Please click on the latest 8.0 download, and SAVE the installation file to your hard disk, and follow the instructions to install AVG 8.0. AVG 7.5 will be uninstalled automatically from your computer.

How to recognize the version of your AVG:
Open the AVG user interface or control center from the Start Menu - > Programs -> AVG. The version is displayed either in the lower left corner of the window for AVG 8.0 or near the lower right corner, to the left of the date, for AVG 7.5.

Important notice
AVG 8 is compatible with MS Windows 2000, Windows XP and Vista. Windows 95, 98 and ME are not supported.
When upgrading to AVG 8, installation of the new version is required.
The old AVG 7.5 for the operating systems MS Windows 98 / ME / NT / NT Server 4.0 will be supported only till the end of the year 2008.
