AVG Firewall asks for Confirmation
Once you have completed the Firewall Profile Switch, you may see an AVG Firewall Asks for Confirmation box. The AVG Firewall monitors all Internet and network traffic. If there is an application that tries to access the Internet that AVG does not know about, AVG will ask you to allow or block this communication. An example of this is below:
Application "MSN
Messenger" is trying to
establish a TCP
connection.
Do you want to allow
this communication?

If you recognise the application and want to allow it, click either:
- Allow for all — allows this application for all profiles
- Allow for safe — allows this application for networks you have defined
If you are unsure what the application is, we recommend you click Block until you can determine what the application is. If you have any questions regarding your AVG Firewall configuration, please contact us.
